He is very out of character, you can almost say he was kissing Cottos ass at the face off, body language was off the charts in the uncomfortable zone, he DID not want to be there, he had no game face, non! Now here is the benefit of the doubt, hes pulling a Hopkins Jedi mind trick being extremely polite and will slap him in the final weigh in to completely **** with Cottos mind. THATS! Cotto is a stand up guy...he does not talk trash...Floyd would he seem like a real a-hole disrespecting the guy.
Mayweather is a little older and is facing a guy everybody respects. Plus, he already knows the fight will sell without him needing to put on an act. I think the respect is genuine. Of course he will still act like an ass on 24/7.
This isn't a fight what everyone is in support of, Floyd almost needs to convince some people that this fight is a bigger deal than it actually is, also everything what could be said about Cotto has been said already
Don't think he is intimidated, I've noticed Floyd show nervous signs at these type of things before like V Ortiz (I think) he was fidgety as hell and constantly playing with a water bottle but when he gets in the ring he will do the business. I think despite his played up persona he is a nervous type guy (and that doesn't mean scared or even a negative thing) but he is so comfortable inside the ring that there is no need to look much into this.
