Am I the only one that thinks that Ariza and Roach want to cash out?

After a horrid performance against Marquez, the only reason that makes sense to me for those two to want Manny to fight Mayweather is to cash him out while the fight will still do good numbers. I can't think of any other reason to want to push for that fight otherwise.

I think there are two resons they're saying what they're saying. One, they simply believe Marquez has Pac's number and that their fight has no bearing on the Mayweather fight. Therefore, they want to fight Mayweather to prove that Manny is still the top dog in the sport. Two, they know another fight with Marquez is very likely to be the next fight for Pacquiao. They know Manny will take heat for this and therefore are trying to make it look like everyone but Arum wants the fight. That way, they can avoid fighting Mayweather next without Manny facing much heat.

That's what everyone was saying before he moved up from 130. Maybe they see Mayweather's style as not as difficult as Marquez's for Pac. Marquez counters in combos, that's why Pac looked so bad, he was weary about letting his hands go with his usual combos and committing to big punches against Marquez, with the threat of taking two, three rapid fire counters. Mayweather counters in single shots and has a more defensive frame of mind. It will be much easier for Pac to fight his normal game and dart in and out against Floyd. They'd also be encouraged given how Ortiz was able to land right hand counters on Floyd throughout their fight and push him onto the ropes multiple times in a defensive shell.

That will be Floyd's fans reaction after the fight as he's laying unconscious on the canvas with Ellerbe crying over him.

One thing is for sure, Pacquiao will not look as bad against Floyd as he did against Marquez. I also forgot to mention Marquez still has his legs, unlike Floyd. Floyd's fans need to get it out of their fantasy-filled minds that he's already beaten Pac through Marquez.

If Pacquaio can't land his first punch against Marquez he hasn't got much chance of landing his first punch against Mayweather. Whenever Manny gets beat to the punch he loses pretty much
