Am I the only one that wants to see Martinez vs. Pirog (the dude that KO'd Jacobs)?

as good as pirog looked against jacobs, at the end of the day jacobs is a very young talented fighter with amateur flaws that many at the top would have taken advantage of. jacobs was backing up in straight lines the entire fight begging for that right hand and pirog gave him a beauty.

he needs to fight some bigger names. sturm would be a good fight. they should put pirog on the undercard of a martinez fight the way hbo put pavlik/miranda on the taylor undercard. the guy needs to get some exposure.

i'll edit to note that if pirog keeps this up for a couple more years he'll become what sergio was all that time. obscure belt holder that those close to the sport know is dangerous but whom the casual fans won't pay to see.

Rather see this than Martinez fighting on 154lbers

I mean he needs to pick 160 he is the champ there but everyone still thinks hes a 154lber

    Fight Pirog and Sturm

Really fight Sturm Taylor and Pavlik both avoided him

Totally got the skills to do it. But wants a big name (I'll venture to say at any weight since there were Bute talks), and Pirog isn't one. That's all.
