I also gave him 1 round. I tried to tell people he doesn't have the footwork that Cotto had or timing. Cotto's fault with Trout was just size it wasn't that Trout out skilled him. People expected too much from Canleo

It was far from a shutout and the ref favored floyd, who headbutted canelo in the 7th I believe. nothing was done. floyd was dirty with elbows, nothing. the ref chided canelo twice for minor infractions. Canelo threw a punch, floyd twisted and it hit him in the kidney and bayless chides canelo!!

the press, like f@t rafael, are sooo blindly in love with floyd they cannot see anything his opponents do.

Floyd won and hats off to him, but it was far from a blowout. Canelo actually started to come on late and land some solid body punches. So I agree with the later scoring by CJ Ross. I thought 8-4 floyd with some close rounds.

I watched with no biased commentary or internet influencing me. I thought the first few rounds were competitive and could've went either way. However, it was clear that Floyd started distancing himself on the scorecards and won the fight. Definitely not a shutout though.

the obvious low blow from canelo and other dirty tactics like throwing the shoulder yet he does not get a point deducted clearly shows the ref is biased towards mayweather?

i understand if you throw a punch and a fighter moves back to avoid and you clip them a little low THATS FINE, its boxing it happends. but canelos low blow was in a clinch and it was 100% pre meditated aswell as the shoulder ... floyd had canelo frustrated

He hit him on thigh! Did not deserve even remotely a warning. Especially given the previous fight where lucas ate several low blows.:patsch

    118-111 score, 9-2-1 in rounds

It was a total schooling beyond what my score suggests really.

116-112 was one round past acceptable and the draw score was pathetic.

Canelo won 3 rounds on my card, 4 if I'm being VERY generous.

i had it 7-5 Floyd or 8-4 Floyd. Think the judges got it right, because they understand body shots, unlike majority of fans. Ridiculous to suggest that was a shutout. Close fight, but clear.

:patsch he stopped the fight and floyd acted like he got in the balls, when it hit him in the THIGH. the admonishment for that and the should pop were over the top, and the one for hitting floyd in the back when floyd turned AFTER the punch was thrown was downright amateurish.
