My pic would be Vitali in a late stoppage in a hard fight. Solis will get tired and lets face it, it was only one round.

Sure Solis landed two slightly flush rights, but Vitali started landing his left jab/hook with ease toward the end of the round. The punch that usually f*cks guys up, then follows thru with the right for the tko. Vitali takes the first round off to feel guys out, no homo, then picks up from there. Too me, it looked like Vitali was figuring out his timing and from round two and on it would have been a sparing session. Still sticking with my original prediction, VK by late TKO...

If there is a rematch, which i highly doubt, it will go the same way. The fat f*ck was scared, that simple...

I did think Solis looked good in that opening round. Was letting his hands go,seemd to have good speed and movement.

I didn't see anything from Solis that would suggest he would have won the fight. So he landed a couple of punches. Big deal. That usually happens in this sport.

    Thats funny.

My take away from the fight was that Solis through his clumsiness maneuvered himself into a position that left him wide-open and defenseless in front of a hard-hitting 255lbs 6"7 HW champ. Then he took one punch and his brain went into paralysis mode.

Evidently Solis is not made for professional HW boxing.

Solis did well, but I still thought Vitali was winning the round. I was surprised at how much Solis was able to land, but I still thought Vitali did more damage. He landed a lot of good powerful jabs, he followed up with the hook, and did some pretty impressive body work. I haven't seen much of Solis, so I don't know how he takes his fights, but Vitali usually takes a round or even two to warm up and get in his zone. He didn't even really start tagging Zombie Briggs until after the first round. I would have expected Vitali to adapt because he always adapts extremely well. Hopefully Solis gets some kind of rematch in the near future. That first round was interesting and I would have liked to see what would have happened if the fight had continued passed the first.

  9. i thought he was doing very well too. this really is a limited heavyweight era. vitali was easily being outboxed. if it werent for his size, he wouldnt be dominant at all.

I dont think so sure he looked good at times coverd up well got Vitali to give up his height at times

but he look scared to get hit, I mean he did these weird ducks and movements, he came in all out of position and his leg injured cause he worked so hard on avoiding getting hit

by the end of the Round Vitali had him figured out and it was only a matter of time

I think anybody could realize solis leg wasnt gonna hold out if Vitali pushed him in the 2nd or 3rd it prob would have gave out eventually

Question: Solis fell down because of his knee or because he was hurt by the shot at the first place. If he was KD in his best round I still think that Vitaly was going to crack him latter

I dont think so vitali is a very smart and very skilled fighter if he were smaller hed find a way to win he would probably be quicker and maybe even more balanced and fluid

Well he took an odd step and getting hit with a right no matter how hard is not good

he steps awkward one way and a punch pushes his weight back the other way recipe for disaster

First round was even till about 45 seconds to go , Vitali took total control at that point. Solis quit afer the first half decent punch landed so ... no, I dont think he could do it.

It's been said by the doctors that his knee tore when he fell to the canvas. Everything official denotes to the fact that the shot hurt him and he tore his leg when he hit the ground. He and his trainer say, however, that his knee was bad before the fight even started. I don't know which to believe, but if he was hurt from the knockdown, I think you're definitely correct.
