Am I the only one who didn't really enjoy Floyd-Cotto?

    You Mad?

If your reffering to ricky hatton, you are correct hatton got me into boxing.

I'm trying to figure out what your taking about though.

Mayweather knocked him down, but I have only seen him get sparked out once, and that wasnt against Mayweather.

The OP is obviously a troll, no one's picked up on 'slick blackness'

It's closer than we thought and allot of rounds were close but I still had it 10-2

    I have to agree.

This fight was nothing special. Unless you are a diehard Cottosexual who is rejoicing because he "looked good" then this fight really wasn't all that.

I wanted to see boxing skill. Pot shots, defensive wizardry, body jabs, ring generalship, and sharp crisp combos. What I got instead was Floyd playing around on the ropes making Cotto look more special than he really is.

People seriously believe that Floyd 'chose' to make the fight harder than it could have been? Honestly?

Cotto boxed intelligently on the outside, and he had the size/frame/strength to prevent Mayweather from bullying him on the inside. He outboxed Floyd in round six and outfought him in round eight. Floyd had a more difficult time than many of us expected because Cotto is a good, solid fighter who was smart about his approach to the fight.

I doubt your the only person not impressed with the fight....I for one thought the fight added to the luster the sport has lost amoungst the casual fans. Its all based on perspective and you clearly where dissappointed in Cotto's ability to make the fight competitive or Floyd's constant attempts to create a handicap. This sport is my everything and I'll go with my thoughts on the fight while retractors and dick riders can spew their nonsense. Hey this is why this site was created so boxing idiots and aficionados may gather together ranting and raving.

Agreed. And this is something that fanatics of any fighter don't get. By trying to make it seem that Floyd had an easy time and chose to be in a tough fight gives no credit to both fighters for what they gave in the ring. Both fighters put forth a great effort and the pace was actually much faster than I anticipated. This was a chess match in every sense of the phrase.
