I think so, theres no sport there. If you're watching because you like watching Mayweather boxing well then thats different but to watch it because you like watching Gatti being beaten up is a bit ****ed up IMHO.
Depends on whether you dont like Gatti or your a heavy Floyd fan an feel that Floyd aint getting the credit he deserves so you want him to beat up all of his apponents --but he does'nt beat up enough guys so you make the Gatti show your main show..
So was Tyson strange for the fact he liked to inflict sadistic violence like he did on Tyrell Biggs or any other opponent for that matter or is that not "sport"
There is many Floyd fans who loved that fight, personally I didn't enjoy it because he was fighting someone who was overrated. It was a mismatch against a club fighter. When people talk about Floyd's resume, I don't put Gatti as a great fighter that Floyd beat, the fact that it was on PPV makes the fight even more of a joke. How can you enjoy a fight when you already knew the result, and the other fighter can't fight back? To me that's boring. Now I enjoy fights where Floyd was exchanging blow for blow such as his fight with Jesus Chavez and Emmanuel Augustus. Or dominating a REAL skilled fighter such as Castillo, Tony Pep, and Genaro Hernandez now that's exciting.
uhhhhhhh....he defintely has beat up enough fighters....but the Gatti fight was just masterful....to be honest....i picked Gatti and lost a little bet but i am still in aww of the way Floyd put his punches together in that fight....i dont care who you are...that was impressesive.
Look Box fans wanted this fight, because they thought that Gatti would be able to walk through Floyd, using nothing but his heart , chin , big punch and about 10lb weight advantage. I enjoyed the fight because of the advantages Gatti was suppose to have, I enjoyed watching a fighter thats diligent about his craft and take pride in his skills enough that he brings his best all the time to every fight , to me that whats boxing is all about. did I enjoy gatti getting his ass whooped? dame straight it was a fight he wanted, and some Boxing fans wanted that didn't know any better. In the end, Floyd painted a masterpiece on Gatti's ass that was worth recording.
