Am i the only one who gets frustrated watching Olimpic boxing??

Letting combos go is totally pointless.

The scoring system encourages hit and hold or hit and run away like a little *****

 

This isnt a sport its sparring. Why cant they have regular boxing matches. A while back I cought this boxing show on TV and it involved guys from the military. I tell you these guys were going at it and they were in top shape, better than alot of pro fights. I wish Olympics were like that.

 

I have seem about 20 threads like this. I started 1 myself. It is so frustrating that I have stopped watching the boxing. I understand the scoring system, but it is NOT working. They need to evaluate the system for the next olympics.

3 out of 5 judges must press the button within 1 second for a point to count..........GOOD LUCK ON THAT!

 

Yes, it's frustrating. And I've wanted to go to the Olympics since I was a kid and box amateur; but this is making me worry and wonder.

 

I hate it too, but actually its less frustrating to know a guy is getting robbed than to see a guy who just got robbed. If we went back to the old Olympic scoring, every single Chinse boxer would get a UD.

Dude even computer game nerd forums that I frequent are like "WTF is with olympic boxing judging?"

 

The scoring seems fairly consistent to me. Fighters/trainers/coaches therefore need to review how scores are being earnt and then box accordingly.

If body shots are not getting scored then you should only throw one if you think it will enable you to throw a scoring shot to the head.

 

The judging has been absolutely horrible.
