He seems like a nice guy but I do not believe he is ANYTHING SPECIAL.

    Thoughts?

Me. He won't beat the Klits, I don't give him much of a chance. He needs to lose some weight. Chagaev would beat him too. Id definalty bet on Ibragimov as well.

Mexicans don't usually cope in Heavyweight...

McCline will give him a tough fight.

He's got no skill and he's fat. it speaks volumes about the dearth of talent in the division that we even know who he is.

I don't think he's garabage. Just not ready to be thrown into the lions den for marketing reasons. Give him time a few more top quality bouts then if he wins those, he'll be ready for a shot at the big time!

    Your not the only one...
Sam Peter is regular garbage. Arreola is like ultra-garbage.

Because he's fighting in an extremely weak division, and he's fighting cans within that division.

    Let's see:

Fat and out of shape, painfully slow, easy to hit, crude boxing skills and unproven against any quality opposition. Honestly, the only reason he is being hyped is because he is a Mexican American HW, and that could mean money for HBO.

Arreola has fought very safe opposition. Travis Walker is not a contender and will get knocked out every time he steps up.

Anyone watch Walker vs Gerorge Garcia on Showbox? The guy is terrible.

When you figure that Jameel Mcline is actually a huge step up for him,,, that tells you alot about his level of opposition so far.

He's never even fought a guy in the top 20, let alone the top 10,,, yet somehow he's already considered next in line for a title shot?

I know,,, he's Mexican... but come on!

IMO, he's a little better than you give him credit for... but, let's at least wait and see how he does against a 38 year old, limited, gate-keeper like Mcline before giving him shot at the Klits.

I don't think the guy is rubbish. He's got above-average skills and good power. To a lot of people on this site most fighters are rubbish in one way or another, makes you wonder why they even bother watching the sport. Miserable ****s.

I concur, he's nothing special and certainly a hype job. The American HW scene is at an all time low, so promoters are desperately searching for the new best thing. Arreola gets blown away by credible heavyweight.
