Am I the only one who thinks Arreola is garbage?

If they do fight I hope you can find a nice big box to live in, I think something like what a dishwasher or a tumble-drier comes in is what you should look out for. Just don't be bothering your former fellow posters for loose change.

hmm says I agree with most..... he has potential but he won't get very far with the level of competition lingering in HW. He will be stopped sooner or later and I won't be surprised.

No, he's not total garbage, and those who say so are just trying to be Jackasses. He's good enough to be ranked in the top 10 which alone makes him a decent fighter, but of course I don't think he's anything truly special either. It's great to see a Mexican within the top rankings of the heavyweight division, but unfortunately I think Arreola is a little to limited to go very far.

Oh well, he's still more exciting to watch than 99.9% of the heavyweights out there which in itself is saying something in this divsion full of cautious pansies.

Which of the current title-holders does the forum think Arreola can beat?

I think he is OK, but nothing special. He seems to "push" his punches, yet the punches still seem to have power or at least they have power vs small to medium heavyweights. He will see how puch effect they have on the bigger guys when he fights McCline.

Another reason I do not think he is special is due to his weight. If he truly wanted to be special he would take better care of himself.

WOW, the hate is pathetic. He is entertaining, has skills, power. Sure, he's fat, but so is 97% of the HW division, INCLUDING Lennox Lewis when he won a CONTREVERSIAL decision to VK.

He will never beat either Klit, but he might actually get a shot at them. I would seriously fear for his health if he get's into the ring with either of them, in his current form of conditioning....

I'd have to agree with the original post. He's makes for good fights because he brawls and that is about it. He's out of shape and semi skilled. I see lots of Chris Arreola's fight at the local bar on a friday night during closing hour. Seems like a good chap but its gotta be said and shame on HBO for trying to get the American public's hope up over this guy.

He decent enough to entertain. Thats all I need, but I am noticing that he is not as tough as I thought he was.

I like Arreola's mental makeup. That's more important in boxing than some people realize. A perfect physique isn't the end all in being a decent heavyweight otherwise Louis Monaco would be ruling the division.

He has some skills but far more important is he keeps his cool and doesn't seem to get rattled.

To call him garbage is just ridiculous. So far he's more a garbage man than garbage. He's taking out the trash in the heavyweight scene.
