Anyone can get stopped at any one given night, however, you must look at and see what history tells us. When was the last time Mayweather legitimately hurt and stopped an opponent? How many years ago. And no, Ortiz ko was not legitimate as just anyone can be stopped by being sucker punched.

true, I am one that says Floyd wins by late KO, but only because Alvarez will have to use so much energy to stay in the fight. In the Trout fight he knew he was way ahead so he could afford to lay back and pace himself. He will have to push himself to stay in it, and he can't give away close rounds like he did with trout because he wont get any freebies against Floyd on the scorecards. It seems a lose lose situation for Alvarez. If he pushes himself to stay in it he will tire out and take chance on getting stopped. If he paces himself he may not win a round?
Ummm...why was my post deleted mods? I'm not gonna re-write the entire thing but I wrote about how I had a dream the night after posting this and saw Mayweather stopping Canelo after he tired out with Mayweather on the roaps who countered hard to the body and sent Canelo reeling across the ring. Smart money says he won't but in this game anything can happen. Mayweather DID stop all of the few undefeated fighters he fought and they were p4p stars and more accomplished then his current undefeated challenger
I don't think Canelo will get stopped, but I bet he'll have nothing left at the end. I imagine in the late rounds he'll be looking like Adamek did toward the end of the Vitali fight - bruised, bewildered, tired, and just looking like crap.

it's possible. but it won't have anything to do with the power of Floyd or Canelo having chin problems. it would be down to Canelo being out of Gas after the first half. those extra 2 pounds are going to kill him. just watch.
