He does stink... he has zero technique and wins based on pure size.

My god he is an ugly fighter, zero finesse, but normally effective. I actually thought he lost at the weekend.

Usually pretty good fun to watch as he always comes to fight, but defo not a top tier fighter imo.

I have said this for years when i cared to talk about ponce..... he is not elite. I like him, hes a good fighter, real good stamina, good heart, good workrate, but dear god..... im actually sad for him, and i mean that, when he faces the elites at any division. He should have lost a few fights ago, and he will lose again. I dont like downplaying fighters but ponce is one fighter that imo just dazzles me with how ordinary he looks outside his power.

He can punch, but his skills leave a lot to be desired.

sometimes it's pretty effective though, my god those wild swings are coming in from all angles making it difficult to predict.

However you could drive a bus through any defence he might pretend to have.

But IMO I think that's what makes him an exciting fighter, he's looking to win with every shot, and always give someone a good fight.

I just can't nose him. Another troglodyte that makes boxing regress.

Well you saw him in there with a boxer, and since he's a brawler he was a bit doomed to look bad.

If you see him with other brawlers.. well he annihalates them most of the time.

So if he really stinks, thats's quiet relative

    I'm definately not a fan.

His skillset is awful for a professional, he telegraphs every single punch he throws, I can see him humiliated in there at multiple points in his career.

A good slick counterpuncher would make him look like he's not ready for his first amateur fight, let alone a pro bout.

Ponce will look like a piece of paper which passed through a shredder . . . if he ever fights Rafa or Vasquez. :yep

I guess Pacquiao is the blueprint on how to make little skill, a big punch and a one-dimensional approach successful - But his straight left is extremely quick, sharp and well-timed, all of Ponce De Leons punches are reckless haymakers so he has no chance of emulating Pac's success.

I am a De Leon supporter, but his last performance was pretty crappy, he looked kind of listless. And wasn't as active or powerful as he usually is. HE would get murdered by VAsquez or Marquez, he better not call them out or he might get what he want a match, and subsequently lose his belt. I would like to see a Caballero-De Leon rematch, or maybe a Molitor-Deleon fight.

This was the first time I've seen him fight but I wasnt too impressed with what I saw. He would need to be alot better than that to beat Vasquez or Marquez.
