Am I the only one who thinks Floyd has gotten better?

Physically he's not.....but technically and with regards to experience there's no question. But a lot of Floyds abilities rely on his physical talents that dull with age. He's still great and capable of beating everyone in or around his weight class.....even Manny

Given the thread title it is hard to make sense of this post.

He is clearly not as good as he was when he was "Prime" but he is still a superb fighter at nearly 40 and almost certainly the best welterweight on Earth.

One of the greatest defensive boxers of all time.

 

I had believed this (that he's been getting better) for many years past when most thought he were over the hill. I think he is finally on a slow but clear downward slope for maybe a couple years now, and I think he knows it. That's why he's serious about retirement, and will probably only postpone it for the money grab Pac rematch.

 

Not better but he's still performing brilliantly at the twilight of his career.

 

Then please adjust the thread title to avoid confusion, because "gotten better" reads like you are saying that 2015 Floyd is the best he has ever been... and that clearly is not the case.

Eh too bad his skills were never tested against guys in their prime ..

Truly a shame to be so talenetd yet wasted it on the likes of Maidana ,Guerrero the last time he truly looked brilliant was Corrales since then he just went through the motions ..I honestly expected by rd 6 Floyd closing the show on Manny..

 

Memo tends to make old fighters better, and there's nothing wrong with that so don't even TRY to suggest Floyd would ever use PEDs and then settle a defamation case for an undisclosed amount of money to avoid a subpoena of his undisclosed USADA test results.

Because that's something only a Pact@rd would do.

 

He's definitely a smarter fighter than he was at 130 to 140.
