Am I the only one who thinks GGG would beat Canelo at 155 fairly easily?

GGG's fans don't seem to think this since they're crying and squabbling about 160. I don't think a fight at 155 makes a big difference or difference at all, I'd favor Golovkin to beat Canelo fairly easily. Maybe I don't see something that these Golovkin fans are seeing about Canelo since they seem to fear this fight at 155 so badly.
If I was a diehard ggg****, I'd be demanding GGG to fight Canelo at 155 and finally getting that win over C level and becoming that PPV star.

Count me in as well he could probably beat him at 154 or 153 as well. But I want it at 160 because Canelo is a Middleweight at this point, he physically can't make even 1155 at this point. It would not only be better for GGG, but better for Canelo to not have to out his body through that stress again.

Do you get what I'm saying though? Shouldn't diehard GGG fans be demanding that GGG take this fight. I understand at 160 it's a fairer fight since they both rehydrate to similar weights, but if Canelo is not willing to fight GGG at 160 why not go to 155, beat him and reap the benefits. GGG would automatically go from doing 97k ppv to the 300k range against the Lemieuxs if he beat Canelo.
I think the diehard golov****s on here see something I dont maybe.

Yeah I get what you're saying, but the fact is Canelo who probably has no chance at beating GGG regardless of weight, his chances go up at least 25% if he has the drained corpse of GGG standing in front of him instead of a healthy one. They should both agree to 157, that's a decent compromise if Canelo is too much of a p***y attempt it at full MW..

I'm not expecting any fighter to agree to any catchweight demands so why should it be different for GGG?

Even so, it's not like I'd be soiling it thinking GGG's about to get exposed if he agreed to it, it's what I intiially thought would happen anyway since GGG's 34 and would be looking for that payday.

But GGG was willing to go further below that against Floyd. Now I get the Floyd is a draw everyone would go down for him talk, but Floyd takes a FAR bigger portion of opponents purses. GGG would really end up making a similar amount against Canelo.

GGG fans need to demand that GGG does anything in his power to get this fight, if they think he can win and want him to be a star.

You wouldn't expect any fighter to agree to catchweight demands? Wasn't the WBC belt been defended at a catchweight for like 3 years straight?

What I've read from other forums, it seems GGG fans are hoping Vanes beats Lara tommorow night.

Don't think so. At his age GGG would be a fool to handicap himself. Chad Dawson cut weight for Ward and paid the price. GGG at 155 wouldn't have the same power or stamina that he would at 160.

Chad dawson went down 7 pounds, GGG would be going down 3-4 pounds since he weighs in at 158-159 right? He could also try negotiating for 156-157.

I don't get you GGG fans, suddenly he'd paid the price and would have no power or stamina, but on other days GGG is a tiny MW :patsch. If he was willing to fight the former #1 draw in boxing who is retired at 154, why not fight the #1 draw currently at 155?

That's not what I meant, I'm saying I wouldn't demand any fighter to agree to it, mainly because I'm more of a purist and I don't like catchweights in general.

Also, people need to stop making it seem like GGG's some unknown guy who needs to jump at any chance and bendover to any demands.

And GGG fans need to stop acting like 155 is some crazy demand, when GGG has said he'd fight anyone from 154-175, and was willing to fight Floyd at 154 which would have resulted in a similar payday compared to Canelo.

I think it's just on principle at this point. Stephen A Smith said GGG went on his talk show and explained the reason he'll do it for Floyd and not Canelo is that Floyd is a WW who is giving up size. So it would be fair to meet in the middle where as Camelot is a MW just trying to gain an advantage so he's not going for that

I have no problems with GGG being willing to fight Floyd at 154 and not Canelo at 155, they're hardly even similar situations, for one, Floyd was the #1 guy both in money and in stature in boxing, also, Floyd wasn't really a full fledged WW anyway.

Also, the fight was hardly feasible anyway, I never even took the whole Floyd situation seriously or expected it to happen.

How are they hardly even similar . Both are the biggest draws in boxing, and GGG would probably even get abigger purse since Floyd takes such a big share unless you're Pacquiao. Look at Canelo's purse against Floyd. Cotto made mroe against Canelo than he did with Floyd.

Here are the similarities, both fights make him career high purses, both fights make him PPV stars. Yes GGG beating Floyd gets him more credit for taking Floyd's 0, but Floyd is also 40, and at 154 Floyd would pick him apart and school him, while he'd be highly favored against Canelo.

Really you die hard little g fans should be demanding for this fight. Don't you want your guy to be a real PPV star, and get a name on his resume?
