 ya Manny's been ducking Berto and Ortiz, right. When did those two ever become legititate threats? I don't remember anyone around here calling for Pac - berto or Ortiz. He hasn't fought them because they'd be easy work. He'd knock Ortiz out in 2 rounds. Shot-to-**** Mosley probably beats Ortiz and Berto. Ortiz - Floyd is only a decent fight because of the styles and Floyd's layoffs. That's the only thing that makes it intriguing.

    2 things:

    1. I criticized Pac for taking Clottey whereas *****s like you hail Floyd for Ortiz.

    2. Clottey beat Ortiz any day. Clottey gave Cotto and Margo all they could handle. Clottey beats Judah and Corrales.

i dont see anybody calling this a great fight or a substitute for Pac...they only are trying to say well if it isnt Pac this fight is still a good fight at least he is fighting someone reasonable.

To be honest outside of Pac at 147......who else? Im talking 147 because obviously Martinez at 154 would be great but i dont think they want to go up in weight....because the Pac fight will be 147....they want to stick around this weight for right now...of course this is just my opinion that this fight still will get made and im goin out on a limb....again(lol)...and saying early/mid 2012.

You're right, JMM has no business fighting at WW where fighters normally weigh 155 lbs or more on fight nights except against Pac who fights at 147/148. JMM was outweighed by Pac 145 to 141 in the second fight where he nearly beat Pac if not for the unfortunate KD in the early rounds. Considering that JMM weighed 145 against Katsidis, I think there won't be too much gap in weight between them in this fight and the only real advantage that Pac has is that he is already used to fighting at the weight.

I don't dismiss Ortiz, he's a good boxer-puncher with decent power who can be dangerous to both Pac and Floyd. Having said this, however, Floyd will beat Ortiz by a wide UD while JMM, considering how close their two fights were, would be competitive in the entirety of the fight and might be able to score a close win if he could avoid getting knocked down.

Yeah! Margo would be fine too considering that Floyd ducked him once!

I will have to disagree about Margo at this point of his career. Pac had laid the blueprint for Floyd on how to beat Margo. Handspeed + movement = beat up Margo.

Cotto on the other hand, the blueprint has been laid out but the kind that Floyd will not be abe emulate = brawl with Cotto. Pac and Margo did it that way. So I even though Cotto lost 2X now, those are different kind of fighters. So I will be interested to see how Floyd come up with a different blueprint in beating Cotto.

Pac had laid the blueprint but Floyd won't be able to execute that. Margo has a granite chin, Floyd's single shots coming at 5 sec intervals won't stop Margo from his track! Margo would walk through those shots and pound Floyd's body continously till he drop to his knees.

Did you watch the Berto fight? Ortiz has corrected his movement problems that he had against Maidana. All southpaws will eat some rights but his defense from the right is very good at the moment.
