First off I'm not really a fan of either fighter, respect both actually (a rarity now a days apparently), though I would prefer to see a trilogy fight so hope May loses the first one With that said. am I the only one who sees Freddie Roach playing Bill Belichick mind games here? There's no way all these reports about Manny's leg cramps and lack of motivation can be real, coming straight from Freddie's mouth as well. I would understand down low rumors from the camp, but for Freddie to just come out and say that stuff is so obviously just to stir some **** up. It's pretty obvious they are baiting the media and Floyd's camp to think Manny isn't taking this fight as seriously. One of MANY mind games they are trying to implement here, whether it works or not I'm not sure. Recall that Freddie admitted on HBO's 24/7 against Manny V Dela Hoya that Oscar has confidence issues and he enjoys using opponents mental weaknesses against them. I think Freddie thinks he is onto something here. Perhaps hoping that May camp thinks this will be a lot easier of a fight than anticipated?
Seems like a silly plan to me. Mayweather has been around a long time. I doubt he's going to base anything on what Roach says. Furthermore, even if he got first hand knowledge of Pacquiao having problems in camp, he would still put 100% into his training.
Like I said, it's not THE GAMEPLAN, its just them playing possum. For example, Phil Jackson or Bill Belichick often claim a player is injured and not feeling well. This is a go to move they have, it's not something they rely on but its subtle mind games. I just think this whole Pac has leg cramps think got too huge over nothing imho. Also, him saying his disc herniation is causing him to not be able to help train....I mean u cant make this stuff up lol
You might have a point. Fooled me if this is the way they are moving. I rally didn't xare for the celebs coming in and working out, or that a ton of workouts seemed open to the media. Well, I hope you are right, because it appears floyd is training his ass off.
Nah, I genuinely think Pac's not taking the camp too seriously while Floyd is more focused out of fear and Jesus, i dont believe you're anything holy or sacred (god is a lie) you just have the honor of being humanity's first and most popular hippie
Again, I think it's pointless. Mayweather isn't some novice. He's been in the game for a while. If this is what Roach is actually doing and it makes him feel like he's doing something, then more power to him.
I'd like to see how committed they are to the troll and await an episode of 24/7 where Manny chases Roach around the ring playing a game of grab ass, and pictures of Manny jogging after an ice cream truck surface. Day before the fight, Roach rolls Manny to the weigh in in a full body cast and offers to take his place.
