Am I the only one who thinks Williams/Martinez 3 should happen?

I'm not against it, but we don't really know how Williams is going to look post-KO. I don't think this should seriously be discussed unless he looks like his old self against Lara. Even if he does impress there though, I'm not sure Williams belongs at 160 anyway, and Martinez sure as hell shouldn't have to move down again. Also, as others have said, I'm not sure Williams can really invoke the "flash knockout" explanation seeing as how he was happy to not fight Quintana again.

Martinez already beat him twice, so it would be pretty pointless. But sure why not? Watching Sexy Sergio putting dudes too sleep is always fun.

Beat Lara (Williams should) than get one more quaility win. Paul Williams might be the second best middleweight right now. I can't think of anyone besides Sergio Martinez who i'd pick to beat him. The problem with setting up a third match is the fact that their last fight ended in the second round, and their first which Williams won was close.

would want to see this. williams wants this fight and can make a case for it after performing well with lara and some additional win over someone like wolak or martyrosian but whether he is confident and motivated enough anymore i dont know.

That "flash KO" was a shot that Martinez landed in the 1st fight over and over again and more and more clean in the 2nd until the perfect one exploded. Williams is simply open for that one due to his awkward shot delivery and the only reason it didn't happen in the 1st fight because Martinez took the fight and moved up on very short notice. With a full camp and growing into MW properly the shot was perfected while Williams made no adjustments, so it ended early and would happen again for the same reasons.

If there's absolutely no other fight on the table and the money offer is great, why not do a 3rd, but Williams is gonna get knocked out again. He should compete at 154.
