As long as Calzaghe is fast ... its going to take a man just as fast, if not faster than him to beat him - they also would have to have good defense because this guy throws alot of punches, he's never scared or intimidated, and he won't stop coming.

Tarver has a chance ... but Tarver is more of a power puncher ... if Joe stayed on his toes and keep his volume of punches up then he could pull off the decision, but if he gets careless and leaves himself open - then its nighty night ... because Tarver is probably the strongest LHW.

Dawson, Jones, Johnson, and Tarver all have a legit shot at Calzaghe, but only time will tell. Right now Calzaghe is the betting favorite over all those guys (except Dawson)

Calazghe cant be beaten by a boxer 160-175lb. It wasnt boxing that troubled him against hopkins, it was wrestling. 20clinches in a round!!!

Tarver would be more dangerous to Calzaghe then he was to Hopkins because Joe stays in the pocket more and is more aggresive. Tarver never really had much of a chance for the home run shot against Hopkins because the old man was great at moving in and out and picking his spots.

That said, if milk dud swung away and didn't make something happen in the first four rounds he'd be dead on his feet by the middle of the fight and Joe would slap him around. I don't see him winning.

Tarver--even at his age--is no joke, that's for sure. I think losing the weight killed him against BHop, but I'd be hard-pressed to call him a walkover for anyone.

The Calzaghe that beat lacy, at 168 would beat any tarver at anytime, but 175 aint too certain
