Has he looked good in any fight other than AJ #1?

Possible Ortiz retired him given he's not been seen since.

AJ dented his chin, you could see it when Arrerola dropped him. Ruiz doesn't believe in his ability to take a punch so he fought Ortiz extremely cautious. If he returns to the ring and fights one of the top guys, it'll be a cash-out/retirement fight for him. He'll lose and retire.

He needs a relevant win before then for me. Scene is too lethargic for a big payday opportunity to present itself.

They're all opportunists at the top. Should be out there creating big legacies instead business comes first.

I think Ruiz might actually be a bum.

His handlers have tried to cover this up, but when we see what he's done since AJ 1, there is no indication he isn't a bum, or at least bummish. Ortiz was finished after Wilder I and already post 40. Many fighters would beat a mid 40s Ortiz right now.

All Ruiz had to do was fight some other top fighters and win or be competitive and he would have proven he belonged there. But instead he dodged everyone for years and then fought utterly shot post-40 fighters.

Until proven otherwise, he should be considered a bum.

    AJ lost to a bum.

To be fair, he almost beat the bum and Ruiz did land a lucky counter, which he couldn't repeat in the rematch because it was lucky. But still, AJ was still in the fight and should have put this bum away with his incredible physical advantages. It was a mismatch of cartoonish proportions.

So all you AJ fans, yes your god did lose to a short obese bum, and by stoppage. And you'll always have to live with that.

Honestly though without the knockdowns Ruiz loses a wide decision to Oldtiz. I don't think anybody would dispute that.

If Ortiz had won less rounds in the fight then he loses a wide decision. I don’t think anybody would dispute that.

Boxings a pretty easy sport when you can just fabricate exactly what happens in a fight.

Ruiz looked fantastic and dominant against Ruiz. He was over hesitant at times worrying about the southpaw danger and could have closed the show earlier.

proved why he belongs in top 5

Ruiz had yet another horrorrific training camp bf Ortiz. He promised a fighting weight between 260-265, remember he stopped uploading videos after day 1, and came to fight at 270.
He thought he could play it by ear against old Ortiz. He did by 1 round
