Am I The Only Person who Finds Benavidez to Be A Little Overrated?

He's a "good" fighter competing in a division that is both shallow and weak. Tends to get overhyped as a result.

 

No, DB might not be a Rubix Cube in the ring but what he does, he does very well.

 

Overrated how? That he can beat anyone at 168 on any given night? Or we talking about his boxing skills? His boxing skill is average and I think this is where people get confuse.

Personally I don’t recall him being highly rated. With his rugged but effective style and his pretty good chin , there aren’t many that anyone would pick to beat him outside Canelo. Looking at all the guys at 168 , outside of Canelo, I don’t see anyone there that Benavidez can’t beat. So is that the overrating?

I like Charlo but based on his resume I highly doubt he beats Plant. Going after Plant would be good for his career though.

then he shoulda done it already. benavidez been calling him outside his name for years now trying to get him in the ring. charlo aint run out of excuses yet.

Plant outboxed him before gassing out after the 6th round. Plant is the better boxer skillwise, but his gas tank is terrible.
