Would be an advantage for Cotto at 150-151 catch weight? I'm a Cotto fan and I actually think it would be good. I mean, in the first fight Cotto had no corner, no plan, had looked like **** in the last performances and was fighting a 145. At 154 he looked ALOT better than his last performances at 147. He was fighting at a higher weightclass, 10 oz gloves with a bigger guy who knew how to use his size and with all that said, I saw a more composed Cotto, way better foot work and what surprised me even more was that he looked equally fast as he did in 147 with 8oz gloves... I don't like Cotto at 154 and as soon as that fight ended, even thought he looked better than his last performances at 147 I think he would be better going down again at WW.

I think that a fight at 150-151 would be good for Miguel since he would be faster(based on my above comment on him looking equally fast at a higher weight with heavier gloves) and stronger than the last time he faced Pac. Also he would have a good trainer/plan. While Manny would be the same fighter we saw the first time only heavier... which we would have to see how that pays off. I'm not saying Cotto takes this, but I think this time the advantage is on Miguel's side.

i love miguel and he is one of my favorite fighters but i can't see him fairing any better against manny regardless. foreman did land but he is a cut (or three) below manny. i'm not sure the fight ends any differently if pac is presented the same opportunities yuri was. cotto did show improvement, however, in his footwork and his body control. he was in much better position after he threw which you can attribute to steward. he may give a better showing, but i don't see him having an "advantage" here. a better chance...yeah maybe considering everything. but not an advantage.

Miguel needs another fight before taking on pac again.
He needs more time with steward and to test what he has left vs an elite.

It will just be the same bout, just 4-5 pounds extra. Pacquiao will have the huge speed advantage...and thats what wins him the bout against Cotto.

  5. i thought cotto would win the fight with pacquiao easily until he decided to trade shots with him. u can only beat pacquiao by boxing. if he boxes in the rematch i think he ll win.

Yea I like Cotto too, but don't mistake Cotto's win over Yuri w/ manny in his corner enough momentum to make him competitive with Pac even at Cotto's new weight.

Pac is a phenomenon, Cotto is just a great boxer who couldn't beat a phonm like pac, No matter what weight imho.

pac would look bad if this fight is made at a cw again.

but tbh i rather see another pac/cotto II cw fight than a Pac/Margo fight.

I like both fighters but this fight really pisses me off!

The first 1 was so 1 sided that it doesn't warrient a rematch, regardless of which belt is on offer.

Pacman beats Cotto at any weight. ID rather see Cotto man up and face margarito again than PAcman...

Cotto man up? I'd rather see that cheating *** work at mcdonald's than having Cotto make him 1 cent.

Cotto does not have an advantage. Though I feel it would be a closer fight at 150 with Manny Steward in his corner it will still be the same outcome. Cotto needs to prove himself in 3 or 4 more fights before he fights one of the best in the world again.

Cotto needs to to some soul searching before he steps up against Margarito or pacman.
