Sorry when your facing Manny, you are facing his team, managers, and unfortunately Bob Arum would also be against Cotto. Cotto would agree to everything and also to remain silent on all agreements. It sucks but Cotto would be at a disadvantage from the get go. He has to man up request what he wants. This catchweight is all bs, title is at 154... Why make it another catchweight with weight limit on fight night, ring size, gloves...

People need to let go of this fight. It'll be more one-sided then the first one. This idea that Cotto is a better fighter I think is bs. I wasn't impressed wiht him at all in his last fight. It took him 9-10 rounds to take down Yuri Foreman, a C-class fighter. I was expecting him to blow him out of there. Just let it go folks, unless you wanna see Cotto's career ended for good.

Yup.. Cotto isn't in Pac's class and he'd lose everytime.

Yuri was a huge threat when talks began with him and Manny, suddenly Cotto beats him and Yuri is only a C level fighter. Cotto perhaps is the only fighter that fights everyone with no special demands or request:D

I have never said he would win over Pac. I said that this time he has the advantage.

huge threat? :huh C'mon man. I never gave Yuri a chance against Cotto. I thought he was gonna get blown out of there , and honestly the old Cotto would have. I didn't see anything particularly special about his performance.

I wasn't impressed either. But you can't deny he looked better at 154 than his last fights at 147. He looked better at a higher weightclass, with heavier gloves and without using roids, against a bigger opponent not weight drained.

I guess your not one of the few millions that gaved him credit esp. when talks began with him facing Manny. But then again you could also be part of those who now discredit Yuri now after Cotto's victory... He's to tall for Manny, to big, great boxer, too much of a reach, now he's only a C level fighter:lol: Guess what Cotto beat him C level fighter or not, with no special DEMANDS/REQUEST at his weight and division, a true warrior.:D

I don't want to the see the fight at any weight.

Pac would beat the crap out of Cotto again and it would be a weak 8th title weight.

i know. maybe it's a harsh statement, but you get the point. cotto is one of my few favorite fighters. It pains me alot seeing him like this, but this is boxing. when you got to go, you got to go

  12. Having this fight at a 150 or 151lb catchweight is utterly ******ed. Cotto's going to be the same size regardless and won't be affected by the catchweight at all, so it just looks bad on Pacquiao's legacy. I'm sure Cotto would gladly fight Pacquiao at 147 or even 145 again.

Obviously having the fight above 147 will allow Pacquiao to compete for an 8th belt so that would be more inticing. Just fight at 154.

Margo, Cotto, and JMM is an awful list put together by Arum. Pac will still be a favorite going into a rematch with Miguel but I'd definitely rather see Pac fight Cotto than Margo. Marquez would be the next best thing after Cotto but JMM is still a horrible match with Pac at 140 or above. I really hope Cotto wins if he fights Pac again. It'd garnish 2010 as the year of monumental upsets in combat sports. And would be one beautiful early xmas gift for me.

Cotto always has ONE advantage over Manny and that has to due with his physical size. But the added advantage for Cotto at 154 or 151 isn't anything to do with weight, but moreso with who is in his corner which you touched on.

Without a doubt Cotto will have a better showing than he did the 1st go round. But ultimately I don't think he wins. He has a better shot at winning but I don't think he'll be able to improve to reach the level Manny is on right now. But....I love the fight. I'd love to see a rematch and see Cotto redeem himself on some level.

Still....that would be impressive if he were to grab anther title in anther division. Maybe not the most impactful win of his career but still anther great win and legacy builder.
