Am I the only person who wasn't remotely impressed by RJJ against Trinidad??

I don't know of anyone who was impressed, so I guess the answer is no.

If Roy was anywhere near what he was in his prime, he would have destroyed this Trinidad inside of 6 rounds.

Quite honestly, Trinidad deserves as much, if not more credit for being able to go the distance and take a round or two after coming out of a near 3 year retirement following a shutout loss at 160lbs to fight Jones at 170.

Its not to me who it was agianst Roy still displayed good hand speed and seems to be slowly regaining that confidence. Plus he seems to reinvented his style a bit using that high guard and coming forward almost like a right handed verison of Winky just less jabbing Roy focusing more on lead rights.

Someone was expecting to see a prime Roy Jones in that fight? Take it for what it is, a faded all-timer. That said, I'll be watching eagerly come fight night when he takes on Calzaghe. Never miss the opportunity to witness possible greatness, live. Watch Roy while he's still fighting, he'll be sorely missed when he's finished.

As someone already said, it was a good tune up and confidence builder for him.

Roy may have appeared shot, but Trinidad looked finished.

To be fair he did he completely embarass tito, outclassed him and took the **** out of him all night. It was just a confidence booster a fight, a fight that RJ took just to see if he could still cut it at the top level.

I still think Jones beats Calzaghe and I'm prepared to be put money on it.

The Tito fight was just the latest example that Jones is shot. He should have finished Tito off by the midway point of that fight. In a sense Jones did carry Tito. I don't know if it was by design or not but he defenitly didn't push the fight much. Jones is done and Calzaghe should beat him up pretty badly.

I know you aren't seriously asking the question, but I'll answer it any way. I'm fairly certain that no more than 2% of people that watched that fight thought it made either man look any better at all. Trinidad is my favorite fighter, probably always will be, and I didn't even order that farce. That should tell you something.

That fight was what it was: An RJ advertisement for an even bigger fight...it was the only way RJ could get some much needed mainstream exposure.

He definitely wasn't getting heard knocking out guys like Anthony Hanshaw.

Jones showed a strong guard which was important in my eyes being that in years past his defense relied heavily on his speed and allusiveness. He's clearly lost some of his defensive reflexes so in order for him to continue any future success, he'll have to rely on his guard which again looked good against Trinidad.

I was impressed more by Trinidad than by Jones....with that said, Roy Jones will beat Joe Calzaghe.

I wasnt impressed - Tito was there to be made an example of & taken out & Roy couldnt do it, bottom line.

Jones would have KOd him yrs ago IMO.
