Am I the only person who wasn't remotely impressed by RJJ against Trinidad??

I guess you don't understand that RJJ was trying to sell the fight. Much like you didn't understand that a cross-promotion network fight must be a PPV event. Like I said earlier you don't know **** about the boxing business, comeback too me when you get some knowledge.:deal :hi:

Hanshaw was no tough task either though. He was stopped in 5 by a fellow non-top-10-ranker in his next fight after RJJ.

I don't agree with. Roy Jones toyed with a massive and rough LHWT in Prince Badi Ajamu and with undefeated Anthony Hanshaw... Just that it's clear that that fight was the best way Roy found to get a even better payday next ( allied to Hopkins losing to Calzaghe). The day after Hopkins lost, Roy was talking to the BBC.

I do think this fight was like a sparring for RJJ, because has the speed still and power to take out Trinidad easy. I think Trinidad would have never taken the fight if he thought Roy wanted to take his head off. Roy will bring it against JC, look out !!! It's gonna be a good fight, and I am buying it.

Anyone who thinks RJJ tried and couldn't KO Tito does not know RJJ. The guy could've taken Tito out in round 1 if he wanted too. He carried Tito. He didn't want to embarrass the guy. He knew Tito couldn't hurt him so he made sure the fight looked good and competitive.

That's exactly what I was thinking. He had no bad blood with Tito and knew Tito wanted and deserved a big payday. He respects Tito knew he was rusty and didn't want to make him look bad.

    I absolutely agree.

I couldn't believe the response that performance got. It was utterly horrible. The first few rounds Trinidad was tagging him at will for christ sake. I know Trinidad couldn't hurt him, but it doesn't exactly bode well when a fat welterweight half a decade past his best can do it.

After that his feet were stuck to the canvas for 2:30 of the round, and he fought in 30 second spurts the rest that were a TINY glimmer of what he once was.

You're right it was like watching a low key sparring match - but they were both flat out. I wasn't impressed at all.

Roys a great fighter but I always wondered maybe after 97 or so after the fame really set in if he got soft hes been carrying pretty much all of his fighters since then. Remember Richard Hall ? Roy couldve took him out quick but he just let him hang around possibly to punish him but also to make him look alittle better.
