THE PROBLEM ON THIS ACCASSION IS The AMA or goverment need to try to be seen as carring......or be constructive....or seen to be imperitive on assuring saftey.. AS PER NEWS VARIOUS NEWS ARTICLES AROUND COUNTRYatsch http://www.heraldsun.com....y-e6frf7jx-1226361317595 I am very sure combat sports authorities( noel sharpe) will recieve a call , memo , orders or a direct instruction to distance them selfs from this debarcle......:nono the real questions that should be asked are (1) did the corner do enough to stop the bleeding or have the experience or knowledge to stop bleeding....... (2) did the corner do enough to protect the safety of the boxer or did they get caught up with the emotions of the fight....or did they have enough experience to know wheather the cuts or blows the boxer received did or could affect the welfare of the boxer..... (3) did the referee do his job...did the referee show enough concerns about the cuts or blows the boxer received or was receiving..... could these cuts or blows affect the welfare / safety of the boxer.....did the referee stay in control of the bout at all times , what actions could he of taken ....what was the referees primary concern..... Some times in sport especially this sport....... wheather it be a trainer or a offical .....we/they...... (1)get caught up in the sitsuation instead of doing a proffessional job that most of them or us are paid to do.... (2) following the rules of the sport..... (3) act in a proffesional manner useing there experience as a trainer/ offical within the sport... (4)to protect the boxers from recieveing unnessasary punishment The fact of the matter is they dont....either from arrigance or ignorence or just from straight out getting caught up in the emotions of the fight......for what ever the reasons . some exzamples for this is ( looking bad on tv , beleiveing in there boxer can come back , beleiveing the crowd wont approve in their actions , straight out incompedence , watching the fight instead of officiateing the fight....YOU CAN SUGER COAT THE REASONS ...but there is so manny reasons for this to happen......keeping inmind this is a proffesional sport and all concerned are registered proffessional and should act accordinly also remembering they get paid to do there job (well most do )........ Or is there a very simple reason Perfect exzample was a fight earlier on the night..was the fight stopped premiture or did the referee do his job..there seemed to be a lot of conjecture latter i asure you. Paul Watson vs Hakan Tekin ...one might say ...for the safety of the boxer it was a perfect stoppage......given the fact both were on debout... also given one boxer turned his head away after receiveng manny unanswered punches.....given the fact the referee was nutral had both boxers saftey welfare inmind at all times... OR .......one might say ...how could you stop that fight my boxer or the losing boxer was not hurt , he was just warming up he was gunner come back...he is a novice and was trying to find his range and balance and then he was gunner attack he was getting warmed up...one could reply... The referee that awarded the decision.... he should be appluaded not riduculed...... keeping inmind the referee had both boxers saftey & welfare inmind at all times...and was not perswaded by emotions or crowd influence he seemed to be doing the proffesional job he was suppose to do...as per rules.......GOOD JOB.....OR WAS IT ...... BUT NOW THIS BRINGS ME BACK TO THE PITT VS CASEY FIGHT. The facts are evident and cannot be argued....... the corner of casey could have done a better job , the referee should have done a better job , the officials involvde should of inforced the rules and done a better job....the fact is it was not a good look for boxing..... I.E foxtels replay the very next day had been edited so this fight was not to be showen....... .........Y....... tHE REASON IS evidence that somethig is not right...... this is not about boxing needs to be banned ........ THIS IS ABOUT THE GOVERMENT OR COMBAT SPORTS OR WHAT EVER GOVERNING BODY OR BODIES NEED TO TAKE ACTIONS ON HOW TO IMPROVE THE SPORT............ (1) better systems and structure OF QUALIFICATION for trainers and officals to be certifed and qualified correctly....... (2) controlled qualification systems and refreshers coarses for all particments....(simular to most RTA or LICENCEING BODIES. certain amount of hours in gyms/ringside/medical seminars....) (3) all officals to complete medicals and rules knowledgement assesments on a ongoing basis regardless of experience and fitness assesments..... (4) all registered and qualified particpents (trainers/officals/referees/judges/time keepers/combat authority inspectors/bucket boys who ever should have remifications on actions taken......... (accountabilty)there is none......... The simple shame is The sport that is admired by many and love by .....most.......will suffer And untill the powers to be take certain actions and comunicate nation wide there will be inccidents or actions that are as described above by all............ these are just my thaughts........ :bbb
I agree with all you have said Lincoln, the corner concerned really made themselves look bad. Also the ref telling the doctor he should stop it. Then the doctor asks the fighter if he can continue. Of course the fighter will fight on. A major **** up by all concerned.
Have to agree with this part .........Y....... tHE REASON IS evidence that somethig is not right...... this is not about boxing needs to be banned ........
