    there are plenty of strikers in mma who could do the same. Multiple untrained fighters are nothing special to overcome for even one year of striking training.


    Everything else you said i dont disagree with, you do realize i was replying to someone else? Anyone who questions the toughness and implies that Jake winning a limited fighting contest (that went the distance) and using that as an example to why mma fighters aren't bad men is just not educated on fighting. This is a boxing forum and the conversation is about hand to hand combat. Once you bring up military and guns you are going outside the sport of combat or self defense hand to hand.

    he would get wrecked by the likes of Parreira and Adesanya. He's fighting the washed semi retired fighters who fought at under 170lb. Nate best years were 155lb. Plenty of mma mw would make easy work of him/

    Somebody uploaded Shadasia Green vs. Olivia Curry last night but those money grubbing vultures at DAZN shut it down (like there's a snowball in hell's chance of it costing them a dime in revenue, as though anybody is going to buy a replay of their crap PPV after the results are known :rolleyes:)

    Nah, trust me, he's not. A bunch of YouTubers started boxing. He's the best by a lot. For his level of experience and age at starting he's good.

    Yet he loses by a single point to and drops an 8-0 pro boxer. Your idea of an "average journeyman" is probably someone like Babic, a national amateur champion with an amateur record of 85-15 or whatever. Or someone like Rudenko who is perhaps even better.

    Yeah, he's not a main event tier boxer but the "clown" really can box and he boxes almost as well as a LOT of licensed pros who have been boxing for a decade longer. He probably boxes better than literally half of the licensed pros at CW right now. When he's 30 he'll be pretty good if he trains hard.

    Except, he’s not. Beating old guys who participated in a completely different sport doesn’t make him good. He’s actually 0-1 against an actual boxer. If he was slightly decent, he’s be fighting other pro fighters.

    Exactly this. He's young and rich (thus able to afford the best nutrition, facilities/equipment, s&c, expendable time for training, etc) and in good all-around general fitness. That's enough to hold up the illusion against bushelfulls of picked cherries. Any world ranked contender makes cherry jam of him and that isn't liable to change with his ambition going no further than jacking up his revenue stream fighting no-hopers with his thumb on the scales.

    He's fighting guys who don't box...

    And Furys little brother is horrible as well.

    Like I said, he has no business main eventing PPVs and getting paid more than actual boxers.
