If theres a thread (probably is) I haven't seen it yet, whats the predictions looking like? Serrano UD probably imo, you never know.
Serrano by brutal ko, sending Taylor into retirement. Katie has had her time in the sun, time to enjoy the fruit of her labors.
Taylor will win by wide unanimous decision. Serrano fought bums all her career, look at boxrec, all her opponents have at least 10+ losses before fighting her. So, don't believe the hype, Taylor will school Serrano and win by wide unanimous decision. I don't think she will lose a single round to Serrano.
Serrano's record is padded, she's not actually a big puncher, she's just knocked out average fighters. Taylor is too good.
Taylor has been gifted decisions and is on the slide, easy win for Serrano, not that I care either way
So she won 18 gold medals by gifted decisions? Hmmm. Let's watch it again what Persoon says in post fight interview (looks like Taylor decided to reconstruct Persoon's face to put an end to "gifted decision" rumours): This content is protected
As far as the bigger puncher debate goes.... This is what Miriam Gutierrez looked like after her match against Katie Taylor. This content is protected This is what Gutierrez looked like after she fought Serrano. This content is protected This content is protected
Yeah, well Derek Edwards KO'd Badou Jack in 1, something Stevenson, Groves, Dirrell, Pascal, Browne, and Bute couldn't do. So you know what that means right? What about Darnell Boone, he KO'd Adonis Stevenson in 2, and it took Gvozdyk 11. I guess Boone hits way harder than Gvozdyk right?
Depends how much Taylor has left. Serrano looked slower at 135 in her last fight but she has a style much more suited to the pro's than Taylor, she has a great engine and she's southpaw. Taylor for me is more fluid, better footwork and the more natural at the weight. Taylor is much more proven, she's fought the better competition throughout her career. It's a tough one to call but I favour a motivated Taylor to rise to the occasion in what I see being a close fight.
That is a very sound response. Tell me, what do you make of Oleksandr Gvozdyk taking 11 rounds to stop a 41 year old Adonis Stevenson. Gvozdyk had a lot of power. Stevenson was a very good fighter, also with power. Stevenson Vs Kovalev? Please indulge me.
