i dont believe so, but i havent seen it tested. only way would be to take the same fighter measured across both weights. if andy ruiz got down to 210, would his punch get weaker? i think it would get harder from the increase in speed. but like i said, they havent run the experiments.

Yes but that fight sucked because it was 3 minutes a round. Would have been a fun action packed jawn otherwise.

Absolutely it would, if he is throwing with proper technique. 210 lbs would be hitting you on the chin instead of 250.

Granted, there are other types of power, but weight transfer is especially crucial to a destructive backhand for everyone not named Foreman or Beterbiev.

from my experience, both weight and speed are huge factors in punching power. followed by technique. but the relationship between weight and speed is a complicated one. one affects the other. speed with no weight, and youre swinging wiffle bats. weight with no speed, and youre pushing more than punching.
above 220, every man has the power to break jaws and ribs of any other man. the problem then becomes delivering that power. speed is a better tool for delivery than weight is.

Serrano's face was reconstructed by Tellez.

Good win for Serrano. Tellez, who replaced Cruz at the last minute, put in a good performance, showing character and solidity. I think this defeat will help her grow. In my opinion Holm would have lost even without the injury-related interruption, Han was managing the match well. Bridges hadn't fought since 2023, inactivity and Father Time were evident in the ring. She has a name that sells well, but perhaps it's better to try something other than boxing now, Father Time is undefeated.

*You need technique to put weigh behind your punches. Speed can be achieved with poor technique, and speed can be achieved with good technique, but speed itself is most deadliest when delivered with at least some weight behind it, and this requires good technique.

Holm will always be GOAT'd for her role in removing this insufferable **** from the combat sports world.
