Jon Jones and Jake Paul arent mutually exclusive. In fact they would coincide quite nicely given that Jones is fighting Stipe next anyways.

Also, please dont pretend Jake Paul vs Alex isnt a massive global fight. It obviously is.

And nah, way too early to say that... hes just fighting smaller strikers in the UFC, most who are coming off very serious injuries. Let him fight a genuine grappler or a prime striker his own size and lets see how he does then.

They dont just help with defense... they also cushion the superficial damage caused by the punch, and they also physically hurt more, both to the puncher and the one getting hit.

BK changes a lot to the dynamics of fights.

Luke could very well beat Perry in a boxing match. It was it being bare knuckle that added the pain and physicality to the fight that allowed Perry to outman him.

Jake Paul should finally fight a real fighter, there is no shortage of choices, and not always play it safe.

jake paul vs anyone brings viewers.

i would hate to see Paul vs Canelo just as much as Alex. he doesn’t deserve to be matched with legit accomplished fighters. especially in their prime

experience plays a role. perry fights with mma gloves and knows slightly what works without big gloves. Alex is well versed in both. he’s starched bigger more technical guys than perry in glory kb

    They do

Perry has solid defence, Jake just has elite offence and slickness

Fair enough I can see that view.

But on the other hand, why not just let the Jake train get demolished by him fighting a world level fighter? Jake will keep doing these gimmick fights and keep winning, at some point I think theres a case to make for a world class guy to inject a little reality into the circus.

But I do get the respectability side that youre saying.

I get that, just saying that fighting with no gloves doesnt just effect defense. Theres more to it physically and psychologically.

Canelo has been a professional fighter for 19 years. He has been fighting world level fighters for 14 years, and had been fighting top world level fighters for over a decade.

He had fought more rounds than Golovkin, Benavidez, and Usyk. And he had accomplished much more than them.

As a true die hard boxing fan I think that Canelo can fight whom ever he wants. If Benavidez wants Canelo he probably needs to clean out a division like Canelo did at 154, 160, and 168.

It's annoying seeing fighters like Benavidez ducking other fighters just for a lottery ticket.

The main reason for 8, 10, and 18 Oz gloves is to protect the fighter's hands not his head.

Change die hard boxing fan to die hard Canelo fan.

A boxing fan would respect the fact that Canelo holds a belt and champions have obligations, they dont get to fight whoever they want based on their legacy. Champions have to defend against their number one contenders. Thats the framework and structure of how boxing operates.

If Canelo wants to milk the sport and start cherry picking then he should vacate his title. Simple as that.

(Funny how Munguai didnt have to clear out 168 to get a shot, but Canelos interim champion does. Lol.)

Superficially speaking (facial damage), it protects both.

Neurologically speaking, theyre probably worse for your head (brain) than BK.

Can you explain why Benavidez moved up to 175 to fight someone in Canelo's team one week before he was given the power to enforce his mandatory status by the WBC?

Also, why won't Benavidez fight outside of PBC? Is he serious and loyal to making a legacy or is he just loyal to Al Haymon?

If Benavidez had the discipline of Plant, and Smith, and the dedication of Saunders he would have had the opportunity to fight Canelo. Instead his weakness is Gluttony.

You think Benavidez deserves a shot because he beat a Canelo leftover and an unproven MW?

Don't need to be a hater Kirk, be a realist.

Bigger gloves allows you to throw harder punches.

Smaller gloves you have to hold back because of you don't you'll break your knuckles. Facts
