Heard that amateur bouts do get stopped if one of the fighters get a nosebleed. To what extent is this true? I get nosebleeds all the time while sparring..

The bleed would have to interfere with the fighters safety....I have seen fights stopped because of nose gushers really but nose bleeds are normal

There’s a boxing training forum with lots of amateur fighters, coaches, etc., who could better answer this.

Never seen a nosebleed for an amateur fight, but Donald Curry lost a fight he was winning easily because of a cut.

I used to bleed quite badly from the nose. 4 bouts were stopped as a result. It comes down how you are doing in the fight, the referee, ring doctor etc or how long is remaining in the bout.
