It is a quite interesting thread because I also wondered about this topic. Concerning brain damage of amateur boxers there is a study of swedish fighters who agreed to undergo lumbar punction after bouts. The conclusion is that some sort of protein that indicates damage to brain cells is significantly higher than normal. So is there damage? Yes it is. Will it effect you noticeably ? Not sure (at least it is hard to define a treshold). Cheers, Max
