This content is protected it's my first boxing fight , so i will let you watch and give me your opinion ( i'm the guy in the red)
Wow, you look/fight just as a gym mate of mine. advices: - Movement is good but you need do find your distance to hit cleaner and with more power. - Try starting your attacks with faster not-so-wide punches. Thse are harder to predict, waste less energy and help you to combinate. - Not charging forward in every attack, so you can step back/aside, pick up your punches and avoidyour opponent clinches/counters. - Keep the guard with the hand that doens't attack. - Rest using head/shoulder movement to avoid punches and start attacks from different angles. - Bend your knees and lower your upper body to stronger and quicker body shots. Hope some advices will help you. PD: Nice flag
What seems obvious is to me is you are over reaching with your punches and missing a lot. As the guy above said you're wide with your punches so straighten them up. Also use your jab and feints to close the distance. The other guy was asking to get knocked out the way he was constantly switching stance and getting caught square on when he's on the back foot.
I've boxed at a youth level. Nothing competitive for many years though. I still spar regularly and keep fit.
That was a good competitive first fight. Plenty room for improvement like everybody. I liked your jab, although it needs to be more busy and accurate. As well as using it to judge distance, it is also a great defensive weapon. If you are boxing an aggressive pressure fighter, the jab is perfect. Use your reach to full advantage, especially against short strong fighters. Box to your advantages.
thank's men , in truth i start boxing in 18 and i watch lot of Andre Ward fighter so i try yo improve my jab , i will work harder to improve this weapon
Amateur boxing (also known as Olympic Boxing) could be a variant of boxing practiced at the body level, at the Olympic Games, Pan yankee Games and Commonwealth Games, in addition as several associations. Amateur boxing bouts area unit short in period, comprising 3 rounds of 3 minutes in men, and 4 rounds of 2 minutes in ladies, every with a one-minute interval between rounds. restroom senior bouts modified in format from four, two-minute rounds to 3, three-minute rounds on Gregorian calendar month one, 2009. this sort of competition prizes point-scoring blows, supported range of fresh punches landed, instead of physical power.
