Amateur boxing in UK short sightedness rule?

    What are the restrictions for short sightedness in amateur boxing in the UK?

    They didn't even make me do an eye test.

    Doctor came and made me read them letters on board like at opticians. I couldn't read some of them so I had to get letter from optician saying I am fit to box.

    I've not been made to do an eye test. I do know that my vision is worse than a referee who I know who has to wear contacts to be allowed to referee.

    Yeah in UK i done my medical in 2010. Am short sighted wear contact lenses/ glasses -3.00 and -2.00. When i done my medical i took glasses with me and the lady showed me the board with letters which i couldnt read without glasses, i told her i wore them, put them on, read the letters and that was fine got the medical card fine.
