I've only been training since christmas and was told by my trainers the other week that they want us to have a few fights in winter but would have to go for a medical first. What does the medical consist of? I don't mind pissin into a cup but if there's needles involved I might have to give it a miss as I pass out everytime. Any ideas lads?
i don't like needles either but man up. if your going to let that get in the way of doing something so posative with your life life boxing your a moron. don't be a ***** and take the tests. you will 100% do a blood test.
its nothing, its a routine check up the only bad part is when your balls get pulled and the doc asked you to cough
first of all thats not what i said and even if i did theres a big difference between wanting your face to change and a needle going in.
For your amateur license its literally an eye test and going over a form that you fill out about your medical history. Mine took a bit longer than other because I had a heart operation but apart from that it was very routine.
So is there or isn't there needles involved with the amateur medical? Rob it's easy for many to say man up but when it's someone who had a bad experience with a needle at a young age it stays with you for life, every injection I've had since then has been very traumatic for me leading to passing out everytime, if I don't need one then thats great but if I do then I may have to have a long think for awhile and just keep up the sparring.
This belongs in the training section aswell When I got my license and everyone else getting theirs at the same time no one needed any kind of needle/urine test. It was pretty routine stuff.
Haha, no needles involved mate. As been said, it's just basically a check up - **** in a cup, check reflexes, eye test, monitor your heart rate, the bollock cough test. It's worth it mate if it's something you really want to do - you will not regret it :good
Fill in a form, go over it with the doctor, **** on a diabetes stick, check BP, check HR & that was it for mine. The doctor just told me "Obviously if you get any lumps or anything down there, go straight to the doctor", didn't have to whip my bollocks out thankfully.
What!!!! You mean your doctor didn't play with your balls - I knew there was something dodgy about that bloke
