These fighters would've been a great addition to the middleweight era of the 90's at pros. :good

The whole cuban team would have been a great addition in the 90's. In barcelona 92 they got 7 gold medals out of 12. Great generation. Joel casamayor, though, got to fight as a pro, I was a big fan of him. Félix savon is one of the biggest losts in boxing history, he would have been a greeeeat champion, it's a shame.

any of the fighters from the soviet union would have changed the history of the 1990's, just look at how they have changed the history in boxing and other sports since they were allowed to turn pro.

yeah , the cuban fighters and the fighters from soviet countries would've changed the history of boxing as pros back then.

Well it was very difficult almost impossible for the greatest cuban and soviet amateur fighters from the 70' , 80' and 90' to turn pro in those eras. Mostly because the american promoters didn't care about them and they found more easy to get some afro-american, mexican or puerto rican fighters to hype them and build them as boxing stars.

One of my all times favourite amateur fighters is adolfo horta. What a left upper!

But he would have changed the 70's-80's not the 90's

GG is 38, so he would've competed at 160 against Taylor, Hopkins, Winky Wright, Pavlik, Joppy. Maybe aside Hopkins , I think he would've beaten the rest of them.

we will never know but if these guys like Ariel Hernández, Francisc Vaștag, Yermakhan Ibraimov, Aleksandr Lebziak, Jorge Gutiérrez and Alfredo Duverge would've turned pro back then in 90's some of these names like McClellan, McCallum, Joppy, Nunn, Toney, Hopkins, RJJ, Nigel Benn, Eubank and Collins would've not be rated as the best middleweights of the 90's.:nod

In amateur boxing, not pro, in professional boxing the Cubans get their jaws shattered. :D
