Hi i'm just wondering what kind of timetables your clubs offer?

I want to seperate beginners from more advanced. I want to seperate people who are wanting to fight from those just exercising for fun, and I want to seperate seniors and juniors.

    What are your clubs timetables?

My clubs session starts at 6.30, everyone goes at 6.30 and from there we just do warm-ups, drills, light bag work and that sort of thing. Then the wee kids do there road work and go home at 7.30(apart from the ones that actually have fights coming up or are experienced), after that though anyone is welcome to stay. Then we just do similar sort of stuff but much more intense, maybe some pad work and tabata bag drills or sparring.

Our club does 5-6pm is the schoolboy ages, 6-7pm is the older lads and 'keep fitters'. Tuesday & Wednesday I believe women's classes are on.

The gym I go to has a mix of everyone. We have 4 one hour classes and you come as you wish. He pairs us off for drills according to who he sees fit.

The last gym I worked in, I had kids that wanted to fight coming in from 3:30, right after school, until 5:30 or 6. That was 6 kids, and a guy ready to turn pro.
From 6 until 9 I worked with business people trying to get in shape. That was a curious deal; I'm more of a "fight" teacher than a "get in shape" trainer.
That was monday through friday. On Saturdays, I would have the 'real' fighters in from 10 am until 1 pm, then just watch what was going on in the gym, or offer instruction to anybody that walked in.

Happens on Friday's in my gym, it's not the biggest and the you can never get a free bag between the wee kids and boxercisers.

yeah, ours was so busy that you couldnt even skip the rope without clipping someones hands, I **** you not he used to to put 3 pairs of lads in the ring to spar and you would back onto the other guys all the time or get clocked with a shot and get sent reeling in the cross fire of another pair boxing lol. Was a really bad gym all in all, if I ever take it up again I wont go back there.

Hate that! Mine is a pretty solid gym, one of the better ones in the country but it is pretty small and because it has a good reputation you get a lot of guys going.

Odd, that about your gym being busy on fridays. I'd go in on friday night and do my work, because there wouldn't be anybody else, 9 of 10 times. The Phoenix (AZ) Boys Club gym was so busy guys had to jump rope and shadow box out on the sidewalk. They'd come to the gym where I worked to spar, because their ring was mats on the floor.

Not all Fridays, most days its fine, sometimes It'll be ages without anything but then you just get a whole bunch turning up. Usually one guy who goes for fitness has brough a whole pile of friends. It can also get really busy on Mondays.

Back home there is a split 5-6.30 juniors 6.30-8 open session which is young guys 16-25 but everyone not just the serious guys mondays and wednesdays. One of the coaches does a lunch time session almost everyday at 1 but thats mainly for the older keep fitters and women. There are other sessions on almost every day but for the serious guys

Out here in oz its open 9-1 and 4-8 every weekday and 10-1 on saturday and there are various classes in that time but its a massive gym so you can do your own thing
