    Too bad he decided not to turn pro and could have fought Ali. That could have been a fight of the century!

    Teofilo Stevenson was a great amateur boxer possibly the greatest and he gave up fame and fortune for principle.

    R.I.P. Teofilo Stevenson ...one of the greatest boxers ever.the Cuban was once offered to leave cuba and fight muhammed ali for 1 million bucks,..but he famously said wats 1 mil worth to leave 7 million cubans in my country.a great man ,.a great champion,..he will be missed.R.I.P.

    from that picture you can see how big stevenson was, he was a legit 6'6" just like savon both couldve been HW champs in the pro level if they wanted to

    turn down professional boxing due for the love of country.
    won the heavyweight gold medals at (Munich in 1972),(Montreal in 1976),(Moscow1980).
