Which top Amateur boxers throughout history do you think would have had a great career in the pro ranks who never actually turned pro?

Stevenson is the obvious choice. While the Vysotsky fights hint at vulnerabilities that may have been exposed in the pro ranks, he dominated the division for a decade and had all the tools to be a major player in the paid ranks. I think he was more likely than Savon to have made a big impact.

Popenchenko seemed to have a pro friendly style and very heavy hands. He may well have been a major factor in the 60s middleweight division had he turned pro.

6'1 Cuban Southpaw ko artist Andres Aldama. Yes he lost to SRL in Montreal 5 - 0
in finals but he dropped Mike McCallum in 79 Pan American Games and MM was
saved by the bell but was ruled unfit to continue. At Moscow he def John Mugabi
for Gold. His concussive power was reminiscene of a Julian Jackson.
His chilling ko of opponent's before meeting SR Leonard at Montreal are still talked about.

Yes. He had a more fluid style better suited for the pros IMO
