the amount of times i see headgear falling down on a boxers eyes...and him having to push it back up with both hands...only to get clocked with a punch he didnt see...

is it dangerous ??..are they more trouble than they are worth ??

they are a absulute pain in the arse.
even heard that they do more damage when you get hit with one on,ie the punch vibrates around the headgaurds.
they also mark you up around the eyes, grazing and such, pain in the arse

Their a waste of time, make ya head a bigger target, you get caught with shots you would have slipped if it wasnt there. Totally counter productive.

They are shite. END of! I got a nasty gash on my eye late on the last round of a fight due to a headguard.

Luckily I was ok to carry on as there was only 1 min left of the fight. Had it been in the first or second the fight would have been stopped due to the cut.

    DEFO :deal

Never had probs with it slipping but i always felt it was bad for ma posture/form too regarding hand positioning and such.

Tbh it was in sparring i noticed it more probably as it was a bigger headgaurd.

They are a pain but I'm sure they have reduced ko but this is also thanks to the point system. To reduce how much of a ***** they are I suggest a head guard like TopTen.

whats up with the avatar jeff

what everyone said basically i agree with, i enjoy sparring more without them but it never gets to the same level of intensity with them off and its not specific to my fights so in the run up to a fight they are always on
