Im English and it baffles me all the stick you yanks give Floyd :huh

The guy is the most talented boxer around right now bar none, he talks alot of crap sure, but who cares when he backs it up like that.

He was brilliant against Mosley and is imo p4p number 1. Its up for Pac who i also like, to man up and take the tests, prove to everyone hes clean and make the fight between the 2 best boxers in the world.

Stop with the hate and appreciate what a genius fighter you have :deal

Sadly, White people in America have a tendency to dislike black athletes who don't conform to how they believe he should behave. That's pretty much the extent of it.

I've spoke with and seen comments from many, many English people who hate Amir Khan, call him a "Paki", and refuse to claim him as one of your own just because he isn't white.

In all honesty, there really hasn't been much hate. It's really only a few Pacquiao fans and some hardcore haters who have been hating. Objective fans have given this guy his due.

This is not the case here. Boxing fans of all races are giving this guy his just due. I think you're being too cynical.

On the contrary, Color has a lot to do with it.

If you act like a douchebag people are not going to like you regardless of which race you are.

One commonality you may find in all these voices of hate is a general lack of knowledge about the sport itself. These guys make the most nonsensical statements and illogical, baseless, assanine assumptions. They have no will or intention to view things from an objective standpoint and will ALWAYS find a 'reason' to hate on the object of their infatuation. These guys really add no value to the forum(except to those who may find them humorous).

Funny how the people who call themselves hating Floyd because of his character(judged by what they see in the media) reveal in themselves a far more despicable character flaw of illogical hatred for a man they more than likely have never met in their life and don't truly know.

But thats just it. Its only white people who think he acts like a "douchebag". That's even a word that black people use. The stuff he does doesn't really bother most black people, because trash talk, and showing off is a big part of black culture.

I agree with hthis ^^^...The pacquiao fans will continue to hate him....and the people who you describe as "hardcore haters" hate him over his personality and bravado, which is just sad...

Floyd was boxing 101 last night...

stop making it a race thing because it isn't...Floyd acts like an arrogant *****...doesn't give any other fighters...past or present...any respect...people dont want to see someone throwing money around all the time and talking about how rich he is and how broke everyone else is...that has nothing to do with race.

Funny thing is, I've been somewhat swamped with IMs and texts from dudes who despise Floyd..finally give him his due and all of a sudden sure he'll beat Pac.

Nah i think he has only been getting stick for his welterweight resume which is deserved stick if you ask me.

He finally took on a top notch welter (after how many years?) and look what happened, Floyd made him look amature at times. Floyd is just that brilliant, you have to ask yourself why he didn't fight the long list of top welters on the past. This win goes along way to answering most critics and Floyd deserves all the plaudits he gets.

I just wished he fought more opponents like Mosley and less like Baldomir lol, cause IMO Floyd is almost unbeatable and he could have really stacked his resume with better fighters (maybe i am nit-picking).

If the Pac fight comes off (and i'm more a pac fan) i think Floyd would take it. Yesterday he was just that good.
