Yes Poncher... Tenshin is such a showman!

How about actually KOing someone for a change, that would impress me a hell of a lot more than having blonde hair and running around pumping his fist.

Very hasty eitherway. They’ve been matching him pretty tough but not tough enough to be ranked after 3 fights. His kickboxing pedigree and popularity must be influencing his ranking heavily

Him versus Takei would be an interesting clash of ex-kickboxers turned boxers. But haven't all of Nasukawa's fights been at super bantam? Seems to me that Inoue vs Nasukawa would be a huge fight in Japan, wouldn't be surprised that fight happen sometime next year.

J-Rod looks kind of like if you asked AI to render a human version of Ren (of "& Stimpy" fame)

The ABC´s do give leeway when it comes to rankings and weight. One could compete at 162 their entire career and still be ranked at 160.
It´s funny and nonsensical when they do it at lower weights as the divisions are just a few lbs apart from each other.

I wouldn´t mind if they ranked Tenshin at 118, IF HE ACTUALLY HAD BEATEN ANYONE OF NOTE!

Sidenote... I get it that Olascuaga respects and loves his trainer Rudy Hernandez, and wants to honor him by using the nickname Princesa that Rudy gave him, because he's such a diva in the gym. But for **** sake.... one has to draw a line sometimes.

I've always found that policy to be garbage. Completely unfair to fighters that actually make 160 for a chronic 162lber to be ranked in their class.

One might say, then okay, rank him at SMW - and that's fine, if he and his opponent get to weigh all the way up to 168lbs. But in this case Nasukawa stipulated that Rodríguez come in at no heavier than 120lbs so that isn't a true super bantam contest either. So these fights are just in a sort of limbo. They shouldn't exist, for ranking purposes.

Yeah but that was one fight compared to being put on the undercards of Japanese boxing royalty on the regular. The net gain if he gets his boxing career off the ground will, I presume, be more than the net gain of his kickboxing career regardless of how popular he was there because there's just more money in boxing. I still can't wrap my head around choosing to be an okay-ish boxer over a possible ATG kickboxer though. Maybe he'll improve tremendously and prove me wrong though.

Could be a case of that being more of a one-time anomaly, not the sort of payday he could expect regularly from kickboxing.

Nico Ali Walsh is as underwhelming a commentator as he is a boxer. Poor SOB, is there anything he's good at?

Rodríguez is starting cautious, blocking and jabbing. Nasukawa trying a few left uppercuts but not really getting through. Nasukawa more aggressive.

    10-9 Nasukawa

    Round 1 Nasukawa 10-9
    Round 2 Nasukawa 10-9

Rodriguez stunned pretty badly late. Might've been saved by the bell.
