Does anyone else believe Hopkins is being slightly ambitious when he says he wants to fight David Haye in late summer?

Personally I just think Haye is too big, hits too hard, and even though he is a Heavyweight (a small Heavyweight), I also believe he will have the speed advantage aswell. There is a BIG possibility that this is all talk though!

Tell me your predictions aswell. I'd say Haye early to mid rounds KO or TKO.

Hopkins isn't an idiot. He knows his limitations, thats why he's fighting a shot Roy Jones and not Chad Dawson. I seriously doubt he'll fight Haye, in fact, I'd go so far as to say it won't happen. A Ruiz win, well, maybe Ruiz-Hopkins is slightly more likely.

Yeah he doesn't want any of Dawson does he. I read an interview with him saying he wants to clean out the light Heavyweight division before he faces Dawson, he wants to beat all the top contenders, and then go after unifying the light Heavyweight division. Whilst possibily facing Haye at some point.
The guy is like 46 isn't he, i'd say he has one or two more fights in him after Jones. He's still in great shape, but calling all these top guys out, and then facing a Jones Jr who has just been knocked out in 1 round, or another blown up Middleweight, it doesn't make sense.

I would doubt Haye would take it. I know he gets a lot of **** on here but i believe he does want the Klits and to make a name at Heavy. Fighting Bhop money aside does nothing and the money would be no where near a Klit fight in Germany or Vegas.

Dawson dont bring the fans or interest (money) so can see why he avoiding. I could see him fighting Adamek at 200lb if he gets beaten by Arreola.

Couldn't agree more. I think Haye will surprise a few people this year. If he gets by Ruiz, which i'm pretty sure he should, I think we could be seeing a bout with either Klitschko in the summer, possibily Vitali.

Hopkins will fight anyone if it presents a good financial reward. Guys a legend, nothing more to prove, but you got to love his tenacity.

At this stage he's just looking for big fights but he's sealed his place as a legend years ago so he has nothing else to prove.

I'd like to see B-Hop face Dawson, I doubt that he'd win or that it would be a really BIG fight but one I'd like to see nontheless! I don't mind him fighting Haye but I dont think it would be bigger for Haye than fighting the Klit bros therefore I see little reason for Haye to take the fight unless they refuse to take the fight which would mean he'd have to beat the breaks off Ruiz (which I doubt)

So this is just all talk from B-Hop to keep his name in the mix.

If Hopkins faced Haye I'd say he has the biggest balls in the sport, either that or he is losing his marbles.

He won't fight Haye for the same reason he won't fight Dawson.

I'd have thought they were two totally different reasons.

After he beat RJJ its the only thing that he will be missing...To really, in his mind, be better than RJJ... Watch him pull it off. B-Hop is a pure boxing master.
