First of all, that one division is the most important in boxing, simply because even mediocore HW would smash boxers from divisions where boxers weigh as much as an average girl. Home of the CW division is in europe aswell, like I said from 160 up a lot of important fights happened in europe and the numbers of important fights made in europe are rising, while they decline in USA.

So important fights happening at 168 where ward dominates, at 175 where Dawson is #1, and 1 lonley HW division equals America not being home of boxing.

    Got it.

P4P Boxing Capital of the World AMERICA> everyone else.

First of all CW division practically exists only in europe. So that's 2 divisions. Second- I just wanted to prove you're totally wrong saying that all important fights are made in USA, and european boxers are dying to fight there. like I said, 160 + is where you find very good boxers from europe and a lot of important fights is made in europe. As for that irish dude, andre ward- he was the only boxer from super 6 who fought al his fights in his hometown. Why? Simply because showtime wanted to make him a big star in USA to make $ on him, european fighter wouldnt sell as good as american citizen. P4P doesn't mean **** because europe doesn't have little boxers in those weight divisions that's why no important fights are happening in europe. How to **** would you want to sell a fight in germany, where 2 mexicans are fighting? As I said the best boxers are figthing in europe.

I don't know about all that to be honest.

What's so good about the MGM?

It does have history, but it's small and full of the sort of boxing "fans" who only turn up for the main event, the undercard fights are fought in front of empty seats.

I think Stadium events are the way to go, I went Hatton Lazscano a few years ago and the atmosphere was insanity.

But when you got guys like Bradley, an undefeated young American champion who still can't can't sell out an 8,000 arena, they are never going to bother with that over there, and its a shame

i'm sure anyone who was at the Pac fights at cowboys would tell you how much fun it was

Lennox Lewis will not be fighting in America anywhere near as much
    if he was Prime today.
A Prime Lewis in this era will only come to America to ****ing **** Chris Arreloa then leave.
Lewis would most likely fight Wladimir in a 2 match series
One in London, one in Berlin.

When Lewis was fighting, from the early 90's to early 2000's, the HW scene was in America, so of course he would come.

There is no way a Lennox LEWIS in this era will go fight in Vegas. It will be Berlin or London.

Andre Ward fought the final of the Super6 in Atlantic city. Not his hometown.

But more generally, can you back up the claim that the best boxers are fighting in Europe? Doesn't really jibe with the evidence.

Try this, count the current world titlists and ask see where they're from and where they fight. (By the way, if you only count cruiser and heavyweight -- that's cheating.)

    [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_world_boxing_champions[/ame]

Then check out the pound-for-pound rankings and do the same.

Your logic is moronic. You say a 'medicore HW' would smash boxers from other divisions. So that makes the HW'S the best boxers and the most important division?

:lol: That is utterly ****ing ******ed. Are you a Klittard?

I agree somewhat.... Mayweather could have carried boxing pretty good if he was a man of good character. Instead, he caused the opposite to happen, while the sympathizers label his character as a just playing the "bad guy role". The sad thing, he could have been 3x more productive for boxing if he was playing the "good guy role".

Even if Mayweather was of good character, im not sure if it would have been sustainable on the longterm (unless he got heavily publicly promoted into other ventures - but that only happens to boxers deemed to have good character as the athlete becomes representative of a company's product or a public spokesman of a social support group). I believe UFC (mma) in particular sapped the fanship out of boxing, when it first came on the scene.

Nothing with the lack of quality fighters on the US side, MMA gives watchers more action, more diversification of attack, more unpredictability, and most fights are only up to 15 minutes (equivalent of 5 boxing rounds) and with that, fighters are able to fight more frequently.

Simply put - fighting action has progressed to a new sport where MMA is mainstream and boxing is a niche sport. I have a hard time finding guys who still watch boxing, though everyone watch mma....

America is the top for the ppv money but the fact is only a handful of them ever reach the heights of the huge money there.

It's no surprise that the likes of the Klitschko's are happy to stay in Germany.

As corrupt as American boxing is, European boxing is much, much worse. It would be a horrible thing if fighters had to go Germany etc to make a fight.
