AGAIN where the hell do I say it's their first loss? And I am fully aware who beat them which is why I said USUALLY!

The reason we don't hype your guys' fighters is that the first time we see them fight good competition(usually American) they get destroyed. Thus leading us to believe all your fighters are over hyped.

That is just the way it is. I pointed out Khan, Woods, and Locket because that was the probably (except Khan) the first time we saw them fight here.

And it's not just your guys' I have no idea who the hell Lucian Bute is! I have never seen him fight and since I have never seen him fight and have seen Andrade I am rooting for Andrade.

I can understand that, what I cant abide by is having to slate the likes of Calzaghe and other european fighters by saying his record is void because he hasnt fought anyone. This is in no way meant to slag hopkins off(because I thought he was outstanding the other night) but when i look at his record the only notable wins i see(before pavlik) was Tito, ODLH and winky, and there all just big welterweights, ive never rated tarver. But I would never knock hopkins record just to big up another fighter.

There is no doubt that there are cocky and ignorant American fans, which resonate to our journalist and analyst, but the flip side of the coin is that Europeans whine like pansies....You wonder if each of them has a little bet of "Sarkozy" in them...

Its not about believing in a fighter, thats totally understandable. But what you cant do is start saying that calzaghe is ducking him and disrespecting his record

    My apologies.

However the examples are still bad. No-one gave Woods a chance in this country against Roy Jones.

    Same with Locket.

Khan allways atracted a lot of criticisim, check the British forum here if you like and you'll find the standard of debating WAY higher than on the general forum. Its usually pretty balanced and objective if you ignore FlintIslands bizzare ramblings.:D

However outside the forum the general public will often believe anything Fwank Warren tells 'em too.
LOADS of people believed that Hatton would beat Floyd!:patsch
You'll always get this when there's a fighter with genuine cross over appeal. Like Pavlik.

God I hope an old, way past his prime Roy Jones gives Calzaghe a boxing lesson. Please God!

Which European fighter should have been ranked higher than Pavlik before the Hopkins fight, other than Calzaghe, who everyone rates #2 or #3?

This may be your perception, but your perception is not grounded in reality. The reality is that there are very few world class European fighters at the moment, and the ones that are there and actually fight live opponents (the Klitschkos, Calzaghe, Hatton, Abraham, Haye, Kessler) get their due.

It is very silly to use "prime" in your hatred and aspirations for the aforementioned fighters.

Prime cannot be measured and is thus abused by those that rely less on their brain. It is an abstraction.

If people were using this excuse to discredit Calzaghe, I would be disappointed.

your faith in god will be of no use either, both pugilists are old the winner should get the credit for beating the other GREAT regardless of frivolities.

Thats complete rubbish, this is exactly what im talking about. Its not about lifting the european guys up, its about america lifting guys like pavlik onto a pedastal that he dosnt deserve and putting down down european fighters like calzaghe in order to do it.

dear god, the world is in serious trouble. america is the modern day rome, the big difference being rome was a foundation of forward progressive thinking that left an everlasting impression on the world, when the american empire collapses (and it will, theres never been an empire that hasnt) wot will be it legacy? dickheads like you?

we could use examples like calzaghe, hatton, mcguigan, hamed, lewis etc

or ATG greats like wilde, fitzsimmons kid lewis etc.

Get the **** out of here with that BS. If anybody can't see that Roy Jones is not the Roy Jones of the 90's , they need their head examined. Roy days as an elite fighter are no more. This fight does nothing to enhance Calzaghe's legacy imo.
