All these names and more held the linear heavyweight championship , all great athletes , great talents .

    James Jeffries
    Jack Johnson
    Jesse Willard
    Jack Dempsey
    Gene Tunney
    Max Baer
    Joe Louis
    Ezzard Charles
    Rocky Marciano
    Floyd Patterson
    Sonny Listen
    Cassius Clay
    Joe Frazier
    George Foreman
    Leon Spinks
    Larry Holmes
    Michael Spinks
    Mike Tyson
    James Douglas
    Evander Holyfield
    Michael Moorer
    Riddick Bowe
    Hasim Rahman

Now we get these, who look like they know more about Burger King than Boxing.

    Tony Thompson
    Eddie Chambers
    Chris Arreola
    Kevin Johnson
    Dominick Guinn

The best the US has to offer is a fat , but very talented Middleweight!!!

Come on , these Russians are awful , scared of their own shadows and cannot fight , but are just in shape!!

America , take this crown back and bring boxing back to where I remember 6 3" 220 - 225lbs - fast and can really fight!

Your point that Americans dominated the era when Americans fought other Americans and called themselves World Champions, that point?

Or that they fought the best, the level of competition was a lot higher , fought all over the world , Im just saying that todays Champions are being spoon fed belts , and only Vitali would have a chance in any other era.

because they produced the greatest heavyweight champions , and its disappointing that the level they are at right now is so low.

honestly...todays American Heavyweights are just not hungry enough nor do i believe they stay in the peak condition that our past heavyweights did.

I see majority of our heavyweights come in looking like complete old outta shape fighters but they are so young. Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Tyson...etc...man they looked in shape and were in shape...he guys i see now look as if they only workout when a fight is on the horizon....look at Klit the man looks in peak physical condition...bet the farm he works out yearly not just fight time....i dont believe our heavyweights are commited enough like our overseas brotheren.

It wasnt meant to be , its just that any sport and country have certain pedigrees , such as Brazil with football , the US has always produced very good heavyweights , but right now it looks lost , this wasnt meant to look like an east vs west argument.
