If you want to mention the World Cup,then you're opening up a can of worms. Footie on a boxing sight? So,here goes. England never should have won the '66 Cup. The fix was in. Forget about the Germany match, which is what people always seem to mention. Eusebio had 4,that's right,FOUR goals incorrectly called offsides when Portugal played England in the '66 Cup. And, in the same tournament, the German referee sent Argentinian Alfredo Rattin off against England because of the look he gave said ref. Argentinians still to this day call that episode,"El robo del siglo". The robbery of the century. Fix.

:good They also fixed the draw to make sure that they played every game at Wembley. They already had home advantage wherever they played in the country but even that wasn't a big enough advantage for them.

I definitely am neither Argie nor a fan of the Argie footie team. But in '66, the fix was in, and that England side was the worst in the modern era to win the WC, as they were the recipient of the most biased officiated and administrative calls in the history of the Cup, my Dave Parriss wannabe. So much for the myth of English "fair play".
