Mark my words. I do believe America will take some L's during the course of the tournament, but in the first round. No way.

If America can't go 3-0 or at least 2-1 in this first round. We have no chance. I feel the matchmaking is perfectly in our favor in this particular round. Taylor will beat Abraham but get knocked out by Kessler and possibly Froch. Dirrell would be sprawled out on the canvas after fighting Kessler but will beat Froch and possibly Abrham. Ward has the potential to beat all of them.

Everyone who picks Dill is being very brave. It's a MASSIVE step up in class.

Froch isn't fighting Taylor unless they happen to meet in the semis or final.

Froch's opponents are Dirrell,Kessler and Abraham

Froch and Kessler should win easy. Abraham is one of the two weakest links in the tourney, and Jermain might school him for 12 rounds, or JT might get brave (spell that s-t-u-p-i-d) and get caught with something big, and it's over.

    0-3 more likely than 3-0.

And there's a lot more chance of Abraham knocking out Taylor than Kessler doing so.

I'm not a big fan of either Andre but they have my respect for accepting the invitation to this tournament at this stage of their career. :deal

    :good

The only pause I'd give there is in Abraham-Taylor.

Why do you think that? Granted Abe's spent most of his time at 160, but don't you think he'd benefit from moving up in weight? (as a big problem toward the end of Arthur's 160 career was getting down to 160)

despite being a bit inactive with punch activity at times Abraham has solid defense to go with a good punch and chin.

if anything I'd see Taylor as a weaker link of the 2. Despite how physically talented Jermain maybe be

he's been known to gas, and has his flaws fundamentally (which even better training who knows if it can be fixed)

I'll take Abe's uncertainty in moving up full time to 168

over the proven terrible stamina + dumb fight strategy of Jermain Taylor

**guess we'll see in a couple weeks time though

so wait your saying that kessler will ko dirrell, but froch the arguably stronger and harder puncher won't.

yea I think there's a better chance the USA loses all 3 bouts

Ward and Dirrell could respectively be in over their heads ... Dirrell might need a knockout fighting in England, and if he cannot keep Froch off him, who knows how well he can take a good punch.

no idea how Ward will handle Kessler .. but maybe with the handspeed + movement he can cause Kessler fits for a while and pick up rounds

been over Taylor-Abraham above, but i can't trust a fighter with poor stamina.
