    Who had lost two of his previous four fights :hi: If you have to pick holes using Brewer then you really are in trouble. Ok, replace Brewer with Mger Mkrtchian and then tell me what he had done in his career to that point that warranted a shot at any world title, not just JCs...his record is laughable. He went into the ring with JC off the back of a victory over a 2-3 no hoper. :-(

    Well its kind of obvious when someone mentions Americans on ESB it generally means American boxing fans, rather than all Americans. But yeah it would be more accurate for the OP to have said "some/most non-Italian Americans who are fans of boxing might or will perhaps hate Joe Calzaghe when the aforementioned boxer retires with a undefeated 46-0 record".

    Not even casual fans hate Calzahge due to the fact that they don't know muc about him. I've been into boxing since I was a little kid and I never even seen Calzaghe fight until the Lacy fight. Only hardcore American fans have hatred for Calzaghe, and it's not even an good majority of hardcore fans.

    i was just giving one example and losing 2 of last 4 fights is hardly a measuring stick, bhop lost 3 of his last 5 then did what he did on sat

    Well you know about the mind of the American boxing fan better than I do. First Calzaghe fight I saw was Lacy as well by the way.

    Unbelieveable. Him and his dwarf of a dad have the most toxic mouths in boxing. Ask Enzo who is the better fighter Enzo Mac or David Haye...you will be astounded at the response. Son and dwarf are cut from the same cloth.

    I'm not a Calzaghe fan, doesn't mean im going to talk **** about him every chance I get. By the way, you don't sound English, you sound like an American pretending to be English to give your irrational harted of Calzaghe some credibility.
