Too much bitching and mis-guided nationalistic views on this forum. A real boxing fan supports fighters based on their skill and record regardless of nationality.

And there is a good reason why the USA is the mecca of boxing. History. Boxing through-out history has been the passtime of the underclass, black americans made boxing their own during a time when they were considered to be the underclass.

Sure recently American boxing dominance has declined, however it won't stay that way.

We've had way more champions then hype jobs I can assure you. For every Lacy we've had 10 Roy Jones Jr's. For every Zab Judah we've had 10 mayweathers. American fighters are put through the fire. If Jeff Lacy were European, he'd be 45-0 right now fighing bums lol.

The reason they are good now is because the heavyweight division has become a fatty fest. Thus all you need is to be tall with a good jab and you can have a decent career. Yeah this is crazy...America was where boxing was the biggiest attraction for many many years. Pretty much most of the 20th century. Every country has a solid fighter in a weight class and right now many european fighters are coming out on top but if you are going to bank on American boxing being over than you are nuts.

 

I never said Hatton would win in England. But Cortez shows another american cheating, no holding in the Hatton fight, all the holding you like in the Calzaghe fight! Both in favour of the americans style.
