The American fans try and criticize JC`s record, style of fighting, level of opposition etc etc... BUT they just can`t stop talking about him!!!

This insecurity is in itself proof of how good he is.

If that's what you need to prove to yourself he's good, then I guess that's you're right. My critera is a little more strict.

And that is testiment to his greatness?

I tend to judge fighters by what I see in the ring, not by what people post on messege boards.

That being said, he's nothing special. He's carefully comprised a stellar record by cherry-picking oponents and winning on work-rate alone. He's a dime a dozen as far as I'm concerend.

I don't hate him at all, I just don't think he's anything worth hyping up. He could do a lot more.

There are very few fighters I "hate" - Hatton and Gatti come to mind, that's about it. Everyone else I at least have a little respect for.

How come nobody is posting a bucket load of threads about all these other "dime a dozen" fighters??? Think about it for second, the penny might drop. :D

I just thought saying joe C is a dime a dozen is a pretty hatefull statement compared to what he has accompolished. You really think that 10 out of every 12 boxers are the same caliber as JOE:huh I dunno about that statement

I think that there are plenty of fighters out there as talented as Joe C, yes. That's not hatefull at all. I've yet to see anything that sets him apart, aside from a semi-padded record and hyperactivity.

I actually don't hear any americans talking about him. You know all I've ever heard casual fans say about him and it came from everyone one of them who watched this fight. Calzaghes "big showcase" against Hopkins. You know the fight against the aging American fighter with the respect and admiration of the American Boxing fan that was supposed to be Joe's big moment and introduction to the American public and was supposed to legitamize him...."All he did was slap"....."That fight was horrible"...."One guy was hugging, and the other guy was slapping".
